About the Darlings

Both of the “Darlings” are extensive travelers who have lived in various cities throughout Canada & Europe. They met in Fort McMurray and bonded over their love of fashion. Dorcas’ background is in fashion & art photography. Julie’s background is in business & accessory wholesale. Drop Dead Darlings is inspired by their passions and supported by their creative talents.

How Drop Dead Darlings came to be...

A photographer, a stylist, a make up artist, a model, designer clothing from Vancouver and a forest in Abasand... perfect ingredients for a big city photo shoot in a small town. During the photo shoot, they stopped busy oil sands traffic with the cute models and pretty clothes! After the shoot, the Darlings reflected on how well they worked together and how much fun they had. The Darlings then collaborated ideas for their next photo shoot. They decided to buy their own products to photograph instead of borrowing them from their designer friends. With the help of Community Futures of Wood Buffalo and some great friends in Los Angeles, Drop Dead Darlings was born!
